About Aubais

Aubais is conveniently located halfway between Nîmes and Montpellier, close to Sommières and Lunel (8 km) and renowned seaside resorts such as La Grande Motte, Palavas, Le Grau du Roi and Aigues Mortes. Aubais is separated from Villetelle by a submersible bridge over the Vidourle. At this place, you can enjoy a pebble beach shaded under plane trees. You will find many hiking trails through pine forests, vineyards, olive trees and scrubland. In Aubais, we have 3 restaurants offering regional dishes, a grocery store, a hair salon, a post office, a pharmacy, a medical and dental practice, two physiotherapists' practices. Every Tuesday from 8.00am to 1pm the market takes place.

Located in the Gard department and the Languedoc-Roussillon region, at 65 meters above sea level, the commune covers 11.8 km2; and has a population of 2,300 since the last population census. It is surrounded by the municipalities of Villetelle, Aigues-Vives, Congénies and Junas.
